School trips with the ÖBB Nightjet
Discover Amsterdam, Hamburg, Brussels, Rome, Zurich, Vienna, Berlin, Venice, Lake Garda and many other destinations: with the ÖBB Nightjet, you and your school class can travel cheaply, safely and conveniently. Enjoy the overnight trip together in a seating carriage or a comfortable couchette with breakfast. The next morning, you will arrive at your destination fully relaxed. This way, you save time as well as hotel expenses.
The number of seats is limited. You should therefore book your trip as early as possible!
Our Nightjet offer for groups of school children
Groups of 15 or more pupils (under 20 years of age) receive a very cheap ticket for school groups on the ÖBB Nightjet. Alternatively, all groups of 6 or more can book a reduced group ticket.
Offer period for school groups:
Valid from Sunday to Thursday. The months of July and August and the days around the following public holidays are excluded:
- Christmas & New Year's Eve
- Easter
- Ascension Day
- Whitsun
- Corpus Christi
- All Saints' Day
Per 15 students, one teacher can travel along at the same rate. When requested to do so on the train, please present a list of names of the students with the official school stamp. Each additional teacher can choose from the standard offer (e.g. Sparschiene, comfort ticket), depending on availability.
Important information
- All tickets automatically include a seat reservation.
- Breakfast is included with tickets for couchette or MiniCabin seats.
- The range is available subject to limitations (restricted ticket quantity).
- Can be booked max. 6 months (180 days) before departure.
- Can be cancelled in accordance with the ÖBB conditions for Sparschiene-Comfort tickets.
