Vienna meets all the requirements of a vibrant city while remaining compact and manageable. An ideal destination for a weekend trip - if the famous Viennese atmosphere doesn't make you want to prolong it.
A beautiful walk, during which you come across a number of sightseeing attractions, leads from Volksgarten through Burggarten, past Hofburg Palace directly to the famous landmark of St. Stephen's Cathedral via Kohlmarkt with its international designer shops.
From there it's only a few steps down Rotenturmstraße and you've already arrived at the Danube Canal with its beach cafés and bars. Many young people also hang out in and around Museumsquartier, many other tourists at the baroque Schönbrunn Palace - Empress Sissi's residence is one of the highlights for visitors to Vienna. If you feel like having a snack after a break in one of the many cafés with their old Viennese charm, take a walk through Naschmarkt. A glass of wine is accompanied by a good opportunity to observe the passers-by. In the evening, you may enjoy Japanese, Georgian or New Viennese food around Nestroyplatz in Leopoldstadt district.
